Hello from Aspen, where I’m speaking about the futures of synthetic biology at the Aspen Ideas Festival. The past two days have focused on health, and I wanted to share one big signal with you that I think has disruptive potential. Researchers are studying how to use CRISPR to allow plants to soak up more CO2 and store it in their root systems. If done on a large enough scale, it could help decrease peak temperatures across the planet. I explain more in the video.
